Our Mission

NothingLeaves exists to provide genuinely useful online tools that respect your privacy. Every tool on this site processes your data entirely inside your web browser. Your files, images, and text are never uploaded to any server. Period.

We believe essential utilities should be free, fast, and private. No accounts, no subscriptions, no data collection, no watermarks, and no daily usage limits.

Why We Built This

Most online tools require you to upload your files to a server. That means a stranger's computer processes your personal photos, documents, and data. Even if they promise to delete your files, you have no way to verify that.

We took a different approach. By leveraging modern browser APIs like Web Workers, the Canvas API, and client-side JavaScript, we built tools that run at near-native speed without ever sending a byte of your data over the internet.

  • No sign-up required: Use any tool instantly, no account needed.
  • No file limits: Compress a 50 MB image or generate 100 QR codes — the only limit is your device's memory.
  • Features others charge for: Pixel-difference overlays for image compression, built-in QR scanning and batch generation, word-level text diffing, real-time regex find & replace, style-guide title case (AP, APA, Chicago, MLA), hash generation (MD5, SHA-256), prompt template builder with token budgets, and social media character limit checking.
  • Open and transparent: We use minimal analytics (with your consent) and clearly explain our privacy practices.

Image Tools

  • Image Compressor — Compress JPEG, PNG, WebP, and BMP with pixel-difference overlays, target file size mode, EXIF metadata viewer, and interactive before/after slider.

QR Code Tools

  • QR Code Generator — Create styled QR codes with custom dot shapes, color presets, logo embedding, and frames. Includes a built-in scanner with real-time scan verification and free batch generation.

Text & Developer Tools

  • Word Counter — Count words, characters, sentences, and paragraphs with readability scoring, keyword density analysis, and social media character limit checking for Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.
  • Case Converter — Convert text between 12 formats including style-guide-aware Title Case (AP, APA, Chicago, MLA) that properly handles small words.
  • Text Cleaner — Remove duplicates, sort lines, strip HTML/Markdown, and use regex find & replace with live match counting and capture group support.
  • Text Encoder — Encode and decode with Base64, URL, HTML entities, and Unicode. Generate cryptographic hashes (MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512) entirely in-browser.
  • Text Diff — Compare texts with word-level inline highlighting, side-by-side view, and unified line-level diff — features Diffchecker charges $15/month for.
  • Token Counter — Count tokens for GPT-4o, GPT-4, GPT-3.5, and more using real tokenizer algorithms. Includes a prompt template builder with context window budget tracking and API cost estimates.

How We Stay Free

NothingLeaves is supported by non-intrusive advertising. We never use pop-ups, overlays, or deceptive ad placements. Ads are clearly separated from tool interfaces and never interfere with your work.

We don't ask you to trust us blindly. Open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), switch to the Network tab, and use any tool on this site. You'll see exactly zero file uploads. That's our promise in action.
